Job summary

Armstrong Collective is hiring a Learning & Development Specialist in Vancouver to design, facilitate, and evaluate learning experiences that elevate individual capabilities and drive organizational performance.

You will partner with leaders and SMEs to deliver engaging learning solutions, manage LMS and learning technologies, and support a culture of continuous learning across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Learning & Development or related field.
  • 3+ years designing and developing learning programs, curricula, and resources.
  • Experience facilitating training and development for diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems and digital learning technologies.
  • Solid knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and evaluation practices.
  • Experience supporting organizational learning, leadership development, or capability-building is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain learning programs, workshops, curricula, tools, and resources that support business objectives and team member development.
  • Partner with leaders and SMEs to identify learning needs and create effective solutions.
  • Facilitate classroom, virtual, and blended learning using adult learning principles.
  • Develop learning evaluation tools and measure impact of initiatives.
  • Create train-the-trainer programs to build internal facilitation capability.
  • Administer and optimize the LMS including learner support, reporting, content management, and enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate learning records, certifications, and compliance training requirements.
  • Leverage digital learning tools and technology to enhance engagement and accessibility.
  • Support learning and development projects and continuous improvement across the organization.

Job description

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Learning & Development, the Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for designing, facilitating, and evaluating learning experiences that enhance individual capability and support organizational performance. This role partners with leaders and subject matter experts across the business to create engaging learning solutions, manage learning technologies, and support a culture of continuous learning. The successful candidate is collaborative, adaptable, learner-focused, and passionate about helping others grow while driving measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain learning programs, workshops, curricula, tools, and resources that support business objectives and team member development.
  • Partner with leaders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and create effective learning solutions.
  • Facilitate engaging classroom, virtual, and blended learning experiences using adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
  • Develop learning evaluation tools and measure the effectiveness and impact of learning initiatives.
  • Create and support train-the-trainer programs that build internal facilitation capability across the organization.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Learning & Development, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing learning programs, curriculum, and learning resources.
  • Experience facilitating training and development programs for diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems and digital learning technologies.
  • Solid Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning evaluation practices.
  • Experience supporting organizational learning, leadership development, or capability-building initiatives is considered an asset.
  • Certification in instructional design, facilitation, psychometric tools, or learning technologies is considered an asset.
Work Environment
  • Vancouver corporate-based; Hybrid role, minimum 3 days in office
Compensation
  • The base salary offered for this role is $65,000 to $75,000 per annum and can vary based on job-related expertise, qualifications, experience and internal equity.
  • Eligible for Armstrong Collective’s discretionary bonus program
