Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods in Saskatoon is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to lead the onsite Lean Production System (LPS) and advance the plant's operational maturity. You will champion CI initiatives, develop a road map, and align with corporate goals while coaching leaders and frontline teams.

This role requires deep LPS expertise, change management, and strong collaboration across functions to deliver measurable improvements in quality, efficiency, and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting with Lean or Continuous Improvement roles.
• Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with LPS frameworks, pillars, and CI systems in manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead CI initiatives that drive operational excellence, process optimization, and waste reduction.
• Strong planning, coordinating, and project execution skills for deployment and maturation of improvement programs.
• Experience managing organizational change and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to coach leadership teams and develop internal trainers to sustain LPS practices.
• Strong data analysis to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to share best practices across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the onsite Lean Production System (LPS) program and drive plant maturity across LPS pillars.
• Collaborate with Site Leader to deliver site targets and uphold LPS standards.
• Support pillar leads with deployment and maturation of LPS onsite and across lines.
• Conduct regular health checks of program pillars and identify improvement opportunities.
• Define strategies to update pillars based on Central Pillar Owners' changes.
• Synthesize pillar data to monitor progress and report challenges.
• Share best practices with LPS Leads across sites to drive continuous improvement.
• Drive improvement of metrics and goals across all pillars.
