Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Telecom Network Operations Manager in Kimberley to head the NOC, monitor real-time performance, and drive incident resolution and continuous improvement across the telecom network. The role requires 8+ years in telecom network ops, including 3+ years in management, with ITIL experience preferred.

You will lead a hybrid team, coordinating with engineering and field operations to ensure high availability and security across services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 8+ years in telecommunications network operations, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in a 24/7 NOC environment.
• Deep knowledge of mobile, fixed-line and data telecom networks and protocols.
• Strong skills in monitoring, fault management, and performance analysis tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people management abilities.
• Experience with ITIL practices is highly desirable.
• Ability to work in a hybrid remote/office team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Network Operations Center (NOC) team, providing direction and support.
• Oversee real-time monitoring of network performance, availability, and security.
• Develop and implement operational procedures for incident, problem, and change management.
• Ensure prompt resolution of network incidents and service disruptions.
• Manage capacity planning and proactively identify issues.
• Collaborate with engineering and field teams for maintenance and upgrades.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.
• Develop and track KPIs for network operations.
• Manage vendor relationships related to monitoring and management tools.
