Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in network security analysis or a similar cybersecurity role within a telecommunications environment.
• Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S), network architecture, and common security vulnerabilities.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco), and IDPS.
• Knowledge of threat intelligence, incident response methodologies, and digital forensics principles.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH are highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, essential for clear reporting and collaboration.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote setting or a hybrid model.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and security logs for suspicious activities and potential threats using SIEM tools.
• Investigate security alerts and incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing appropriate containment and eradication measures.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines for network access and data protection.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Configure and manage network security devices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDPS), and VPNs.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
• Collaborate with IT and network operations teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of network design and implementation.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training to employees.
• Respond to security breaches and manage incident response activities.
• Generate regular security reports for management, highlighting key risks and mitigation strategies.
