Job summary

Ulteig in Canada is seeking a Proposal Engineer - Renewables to lead the development of high-quality technical proposals and cost estimates. You will coordinate pursuit teams, manage schedules, and ensure responses meet client requirements and differentiate Ulteig’s services.

You will collaborate with Sales, Technical Services, Field Services, and Project Management to improve proposal tools, templates, and processes, while providing technical scope and estimating input to align with client

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with 2–6 years in proposal development or related work.
Strong written and verbal communication with ability to organize technical information for client-focused proposals.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines, priorities, documents, and inputs.
Permanent authorization to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

Lead renewables proposal efforts from intake to final submission, including planning, scheduling, coordination, document development, and final production.
Review RFPs and client requirements to identify missing information, compliance needs, scope clarifications, subcontractor needs, and potential RFIs.
Develop proposal documents, supporting exhibits, and related sales materials using approved templates and brand standards.
Research, write, edit, and organize proposal content to ensure accurate, persuasive, and compliant responses.
Prepare the proposal development plan (PDP) and manage assignments, communications, and overall development of the response.
Develop project cost estimates by coordinating inputs, aligning scope with assumptions, and incorporating feedback.
Support development of technical approaches, execution strategies, and resource requirements with engineering teams.
Collaborate with Sales, Technical Services, Field Services, Project Management, Legal, Safety, Quality, and Procurement to gather inputs.
Review technical requirements and drawings to identify risks, exclusions, and execution considerations.
Facilitate proposal kickoff and progress reviews as appropriate for the opportunity.
Set up and maintain proposal collaboration tools, RFI logs, and review trackers.
Manage proposal comments, revisions, approvals, signatures, and final PDF production.
