Job summary

CIMA+’s Energy & Resources team drives the energy transition across Western Canada, delivering feasibility to commissioning for renewable and EV electrification projects. You will lead designs, mentor engineers, and liaise with utilities to ensure compliant interconnections and robust deliverables.

The role emphasizes client collaboration, project coordination, and applying cutting‑edge power systems tools in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Hybrid work is supported across Canada.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical or Renewable Energy engineering preferred.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer in Canada (PE).
• 10+ years in electrification/renewables/mining/manufacturing/building electricity.
• Experience with utility interconnection applications and SIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the local engineering team across delivery models.
• Design and evaluate renewable energy and EV electrification projects in Western Canada.
• Develop HV interconnection packages and P&C coordination.
• Perform engineering analyses: arc flash, load flow, short circuit, grounding.
• Interact with clients, utilities, and project stakeholders; lead meetings.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and quality; support business development.
