Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Renewables Lead Electrical Engineer in Canada to drive growth and delivery of electrical engineering offerings in the renewable energy sector. The role focuses on underground collection, system studies, and substation design, and requires leading technical teams and coordinating with clients. The successful candidate will have 7+ years in renewables or power systems, a ABET-accredited EE degree, and a U.S.

P.E. license preferred.

Job description

Ulteig is seeking qualified candidates for a Renewables Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team. This position will play a key role in driving the growth and successful delivery of Ulteig’s electrical engineering offerings within the renewable energy sector. The successful candidate will have prior experience in renewables, especially within one or more of the following: underground collection, system studies, and substation design. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of our renewable energy solutions.

What You’ll Do

What We Expect From You

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited or equivalent)
• Master’s in Power Systems Engineering preferred.
• U.S P.E preferred
• 7+ years of experience in renewable energy, power systems, or related industry.
• Strong analytical skills, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Up to 15% travel required
• Demonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
• Must have the ability to travel across the United States and Canada

Additional Opportunity Details:
*Target Base Compensation Range for this role is: $115,200- $155,800 CAD
