Job summary

Gray Collection, a renowned hospitality group in Montreal, is seeking a Maître d'Hotel to coordinate dining room operations and lead the service team to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, fluency in French and English, and availability including nights and weekends; you will collaborate with the kitchen, handle guest relations, and take on on-duty responsibilities when the Restaurant Manager is away.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience as a Maître d'Hotel or in a similar position.
• Knowledge of restaurant management software (Micros and OpenTable are assets).
• Excellent customer service, leadership, and communication skills in both French and English.
• Flexible availability including days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all dining room operations and supervise the service team.
• Welcome guests and ensure an exceptional dining experience.
• Maintain communication with the kitchen for smooth service operations.
• Assist with table service as needed.
• Ensure guest satisfaction during and after service.
• Handle guest complaints and resolve issues when required.
• Participate in inventory management.
• Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
• Complete all required administrative duties.
