Job summary

Gray Collection in Montreal, QC seeks a welcoming Host(ess) to be the first point of contact for guests. You will manage reservations and support the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, seating, and ensuring the dining area remains clean and organized, while communicating in English and French to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar position.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Resourceful and proactive.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and French, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Manage dining room reservations;
• Ensure menus are clean, organized, and in excellent condition;
• Greet guests upon arrival, assign tables according to the established floor plan, escort them to their tables, and adjust place settings as needed;
• Assist the dining room team whenever necessary during service;
• Thank guests upon departure, inquire about their satisfaction, and encourage them to return;
• Ensure the cleanliness of the host stand, restrooms, and dining room;
• Answer telephone calls according to established procedures;
• Perform any other related duties required to ensure the smooth operation of dining room service.
