Job summary

West Coast Seniors Housing Management is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to lead a community, coordinate care delivery, and ensure resident-centered services. The role includes wound care guidance, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and care teams.

The LPN will monitor resident changes, participate in interdisciplinary conferences, and support orientation and staff development while upholding privacy and safety standards across shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved program for Practical Nursing and holds a current license with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as an LPN.
• Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification.
• Successful annual Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) competency testing.
• Previous experience in a long term care facility is an asset.
• All successful applicants must pass the vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check applicable to Provincial guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ needs; implement and evaluate individualized resident-centered care plans.
• Liaise with physicians, family, and other disciplines to ensure quality resident-centred care.
• Assess and treat wounds; consult with RN for treatment changes as needed.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical and psychological conditions.
• Participate in care plan reviews and interdisciplinary conferences.
