Job summary

West Coast Seniors Housing Management is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to act as a role model and team leader within a community. The LPN will coordinate care delivery, supervise staff, and ensure resident-centered care in alignment with BC standards.

Responsibilities include assessing needs, coordinating with physicians and families, administering medications, and contributing to care plan reviews.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program with current LPN license (BCCNM).
  • First Aid Level 1 certification is required.
  • Experience with long-term care is an asset.
  • Must pass vulnerable sector checks as per provincial guidelines.
  • Strong English reading/writing and instruction comprehension.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate as a team member to support organizational culture and resident care.
  • Assess residents' needs and implement individualized care plans.
  • Respect residents' rights and provide holistic wellness support.
  • Coordinate with physicians, families, and care teams to ensure quality care.
  • Administer medications and treatments within scope of practice.
  • Monitor residents' condition and document health changes accurately.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and care plan reviews.
  • Support administrative tasks and orientation of new staff.
