Job summary

West Coast Seniors Housing Management is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Summerland Seniors Village in Summerland, BC. The LPN reports to the Director of Care and leads care delivery in coordination with the team to maximize resident-centered outcomes.

The role emphasizes wound assessment, medication administration, care plan development, and interdisciplinary collaboration to support residents’ well-being in a community setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.
• Current license with BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification.
• Experience in long-term care is an asset.
• Must pass vulnerable sector check under provincial guidelines.
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ needs and implement individualized care plans.
• Coordinate and monitor resident-centered care delivery.
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and the care team to ensure quality care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments within scope.
• Document changes in residents’ health records and notify physicians as needed.
• Support orientation and education for staff and maintain policies.
