Job summary

West Coast Seniors Housing Management is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to act as a role model and leader within an assigned community. The LPN will coordinate care delivery, administer medications, and work closely with physicians, families, and care staff to ensure resident-centred care.

Responsibilities include wound assessment and prevention, documentation, and participation in interdisciplinary care conferences.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program and licensed with BCCNM (LPN).
• Valid First Aid Level 1 certification.
• Successful annual RAI competency testing.
• Long-term care experience is an asset.
• Vulnerable sector check required under provincial guidelines.
• Proficient reading/writing/speaking English.
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care delivery for residents under the Director of Care or designate.
• Administer prescribed medications within BCCNM guidelines.
• Document changes in resident health records and notify families/physicians as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and staff to ensure resident-centred care.
• Contribute to care plan development and reviews.
• Support orientation and ongoing staff development.
