WSP in Canada is seeking a Lead I&C Engineer to advance instrumentation and control systems for mining and heavy industrial projects. Based in Sudbury, ON or Saskatoon, SK, you will act as the senior technical SME from concept through commissioning, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process teams, mentor junior staff, and apply advanced automation and digitalization to deliver high-value solutions across Canada and globally.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
• Extensive experience in instrumentation and controls for mining/heavy industry.
• Experience with commissioning and operational support.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design and act as senior SME for instrumentation and control systems in mining/heavy industry.
• Oversee control philosophy, system architecture, and functional specs for complex processes.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams for integrated solutions.
• Drive innovation with advanced automation, digitalization, and control technologies.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and quality reviews across projects.
• Support project execution from concept to commissioning and optimization.
• Engage with clients to tailor high-value engineering solutions.
