Job summary

Sofina Foods Inc. is seeking a licensed 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright for our Burlington, Ontario facility. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with an afternoon shift from 3pm to 11pm and an hourly rate of $44.80.

You will maintain equipment, perform PMs and CM, and support GMP maintenance in a pork processing plant. Applicants must hold a 433A license, be able to lift 50 lbs, communicate in English, have their own tools, and bring millwright experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold 433A license.
• Fast-paced manufacturing environment experience.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Must have their own tools.
• Must have experience as a Millwright.

Responsibilities

• Must comply with all safety regulations to provide a safe working environment in the plant.
• Maintain all mechanical equipment in the plant.
• Perform PMs, PDMs, CM and regular work orders on equipment.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize their workload.
• Repair and work on conveyors, industrial equipment, pumps, grinders, welding equipment, lathes, power tools, fans, blowers, hydraulic systems, packaging equipment and pneumatic equipment.
• Must be a proficient TIG welder.
• Must be proficient at repairs and troubleshooting.
• Must work in a team environment.
• Full knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Install equipment.
• Follow GMP rules and GMP for Maintenance rules.
• Carry out work requests and apply corrective actions.
• Account for inventory and labour on a computerized maintenance program.

The Details

• Permanent, Full Time positions available for licensed 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwrights
• This position is currently an active vacancy.
• Location: 821 Appleby Line, Burlington Ontario
• Afternoon Schedule – Monday to Friday – 3pm to 11pm
• Hourly Rate: $44.80/hour
• End times vary based on production, flexibility will be necessary
• We are a Pork processing facility

Job Tasks

Requirements

• Must have a 433A
• Fast-paced manufacturing environment, repetitive tasks, and ability to stand for extended hours
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted
• Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old and legally entitled to work in Canada
• Must be able to communicate and understand English
• Must have their own tools
• Must have experience as a Millwright
