Job summary

Sofina Foods Inc. in Burlington, ON, is hiring a licensed 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright for a permanent full-time role. The position offers an afternoon schedule from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, located at 821 Appleby Line.

The job requires maintaining equipment, performing PMs, and repairing conveyors and industrial systems in a pork processing facility. The ideal candidate is a licensed Millwright with own tools, able to work safely in a fast-paced plant, and able to work overtime as production

Qualifications

• Must have a 433A
• Fast-paced manufacturing environment and ability to stand for extended hours
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted
• Must work under extreme heat or cold
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old and legally entitled to work in Canada
• Must be able to communicate and understand English
• Must have their own tools
• Must have experience as a Millwright

Responsibilities

• Must comply with safety regulations to provide a safe working environment
• Maintain all mechanical equipment in the plant
• Perform PMs, PDMs, CM and regular work orders on equipment
• Multitask and prioritize workload
• Repair and work on conveyors, industrial equipment, pumps, grinders, welding equipment, lathes, power tools, fans, blowers, hydraulic systems, packaging equipment and pneumatic equipment
• Proficient TIG welder
• Repair and troubleshoot
• Work in a team environment
• Install equipment
• Follow GMP rules and Maintenance rules
• Carry out work requests and apply corrective actions
• Account for inventory and labour on a computerized maintenance program

The Details:

• Permanent, Full Time positions available for licensed 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwrights
  • This position is currently an active vacancy.
• Location: 821 Appleby Line, Burlington Ontario
• Afternoon Schedule – Monday to Friday – 3pm to 11pm
• Hourly Rate: $44.25/hour
• End times vary based on production, flexibility will be necessary
• We are a Pork processing facility

Job Tasks:

• Must comply with all safety regulations, to provide a safe working environment for themselves and the workers in the plant
• Maintain all mechanical equipment in the plant
• Performs PMs, PDMs, CM and regular work orders on equipment
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize their work load
• Can repair and work on; conveyors, industrial equipment, pumps, grinders, welding equipment, lathes, power tools, fans, blowers, hydraulic systems, packaging equipment and pneumatic equipment
• Must be a proficient TIG welder
• Must be proficient at repairs and troubleshooting
• Must be able to work in a team type environment
• Full knowledge of hand and power tools
• Installation of equipment
• Follows GMP rules and GMP for Maintenance rules
• Carry out oral or printed work requests and apply corrective actions
• Account for inventory and labour on a computerized maintenance program
