Job summary

Encore Global is seeking a Technical Supervisor to lead the AV floor operations at hotel/convention settings. You will manage a technical team, ensure timely equipment setup and breakdown, and maintain exceptional client relations on-site.

The role emphasizes training, safety, and operational efficiency, with irregular hours and on-call duties. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and 3–5 years of AV/hospitality experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of audio visual experience required.
• Internal applicants must be Technical 1-Star Certified before applying; certification within 60 days for external applicants.
• Knowledge of technical theory.
• Advanced problem solving skills.
• Experience leading workflow and team members.
• A valid driver's license required for company vehicles operations.

Responsibilities

• Equipment operation: setup, operation, and breakdown of AV gear; troubleshoot issues.
• Customer service: exceed client expectations and maintain relationships.
• Training/Staff development: mentor new hires and train technicians.
• Operations management: organize daily floor activities and scheduling; ensure equipment sheets updated.
• Equipment maintenance: preventative maintenance and proper storage of gear.
