Job summary

EllisDon Corporation in British Columbia seeks a Superintendent to deliver overall construction management on large, complex projects. You will coordinate design, budget, and schedule with Project Manager, Owners, Engineers and Architects to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate has a construction degree and 6–8 years of experience, with strong skills in scheduling, cost control, and leadership to drive project teams to completion.

Qualifications

• A construction-related degree and 6–8 years of construction experience on large projects.
• Advanced knowledge of construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control and drawings.
• Ability to identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, and lead a large team to completion.
• Ability to manage trade relationships and ensure schedule is on track.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall construction management, including design, budget and schedule, in conjunction with the Project Manager, Owners, Engineers and Architects to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget on large complex projects.
• Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing progression.
• Mentor project team members to ensure career growth and development.
• Advise senior management of potential problems, work interferences and schedule difficulties while assisting in resolving conflicts.
• Be jointly responsible to monitor, interpret and forecast a project’s cost reports ensuring they are in line with the estimate and maintain a positive cash flow.
