Job summary

EllisDon seeks a Superintendent to lead large, complex construction projects in Cold Lake, AB. You will coordinate with project managers, owners, engineers and architects to deliver on time and within budget, while mentoring the project team and providing strategic input to management.

You will monitor cost reporting, forecast cash flow, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards on site. This role requires a degree in construction and 6–8 years of relevant experience, with CSID

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a construction field.
• 6–8 years on large projects.
• Proven leadership and team mentoring.

• CSID Secret Level clearance or eligibility.

EllisDon is seeking a Superintendent to lead large, complex construction projects. The role collaborates with Project Managers, Owners, Engineers, and Architects to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall construction management, including design, budget and schedule, in conjunction with the Project Manager, Owners, Engineers, and Architects to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.
• Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing progression.
• Mentor project team members to ensure career growth and development.
• Advise senior management of potential problems, work interferences and schedule difficulties while assisting in resolving conflicts.
• Be jointly responsible to monitor, interpret and forecast a project’s cost reports ensuring they are in line with the estimate and maintain a positive cash flow.

Qualifications

• Construction‑related degree and 6 to 8 years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience working on large projects (Design Build, P3, Residential, Commercial, Institutional or Healthcare).
• Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control and engineering drawings.
• Ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, produce workable solutions and lead a large team to successful completion.
• Ability to manage trade relationships and ensure schedule is on track for project success.
• Project location: Cold Lake, AB.
• Must have, or be eligible for, CSID (PWSGC) Secret Level Security Clearance.
