Job summary

Qualcomm Canada ULC is seeking an experienced ASIC/FPGA engineer to define, model, design, verify and document IP for high‑performance products. You will lead projects, verify IP blocks, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on the execution path.

The role requires deep SystemVerilog/UVM expertise, constrained random coverage, and strong scripting ability. You will mentor junior engineers and advance verification methodologies within a dynamic, innovation‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Requires MSc/MEng with 7+ years or BSc/BEng with 10+ years in ASIC/FPGA development.
• PhD with 4+ years in ASIC/FPGA development is also acceptable.
• Strong knowledge of PCIe, CXL, UALink and Ethernet protocols.
• Extensive experience with SystemVerilog, UVM and constrained random methodologies.
• Proficiency in simulation tools and Unix/Linux shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IP blocks or subsystems for PCIe Gen7 and CXL 4.0 in FPGAs or ASICs.
• Lead ASIC or FPGA projects and verification efforts.
• Develop verification environments using SystemVerilog and UVM.
• Create verification plans and debugging of RTL/test benches.
• Mentor junior engineers and streamline development processes using advanced tools and scripts.
