Job summary

Scott Land & Lease in Quebec is seeking an Intermediate or Senior Land Agent to join our growing team. You will lead landowner consultations, negotiate leases, and coordinate real estate projects in telecom, renewable energy, pipelines, and infrastructure.

The role requires bilingual English/French, 3+ years of land services experience, travel ability with a reliable vehicle, and strong negotiation and project management skills.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual English/French is required.
  • Experience in land services, real estate, appraisal, development, sales, or related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of property acquisition, market analysis, and real estate processes.
  • Clean driving record and ability to travel regularly are required.
  • Experience reviewing legal agreements, title searches, and property documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Primary point of contact with landowners for multiple files, including lease negotiation and civil coordination.
  • Review local land use policies and ensure sites pass municipal and permitting processes.
  • Provide site-specific information and recommendations for leasing and land-use viability to Project Managers.
  • Negotiate and coordinate with landowners to enter into real estate agreements for telecom facilities and projects.
  • Due diligence and property research including title searches and map vetting for real estate site acquisitions.
  • Negotiate telecom agreements with public and private property owners.
  • Coordinate site visits to confirm candidate viability and represent Scott Telecom in stakeholder meetings.
  • Assist with civil coordination for clients, including design engineers and RF engineers.
  • Prepare leasing request forms and ensure documentation meets internal and client specs.
  • Produce updates, timelines, forecasts and reports to Project Managers.

We are involved in a number of different industries, including renewable energy, pipelines, infrastructure, telecom, and more.

Experienced Land Agent, (3+ years’ experience), who wants to advance their career, is great to work with, eager to learn new things and who brings a positive, can-do attitude to the business each day!

Skills required for success in this role:
  • English and French bilingualism is a mandatory requirement.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in land services, real estate, appraisal, development, sales, or a related field. Experience working for a land company, consulting firm, real estate organization, appraisal firm, or in-house with a development company would be considered an asset.
  • A strong understanding of property acquisition, stakeholder engagement, negotiations, market analysis, and real estate processes is preferred.
  • A clean driving record and the ability to travel regularly are required.
  • The successful candidate will be directly involved in landowner consultation, property acquisition, negotiations, and project coordination while working closely with our administration team, clients, and project stakeholders. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality land services and exceeding both client and company expectations.

  • Strong negotiation, sales, and conflict resolution abilities with the confidence to engage with landowners, clients, and stakeholders.

  • Experience reviewing and interpreting legal agreements, appraisal reports, survey plans, property documentation, and project layout materials is an asset.

Responsibilities:
  • Primary point of contact with landowners for multiple files, including lease negotiation and civil coordination.
  • Reviewing local land use policies and ensuring sites will pass the Municipal & permitting processes.
  • Provide site-specific information & recommendations for leasing and land use viability to Project Managers.
  • Identify sites, negotiate & coordinate with landowners to enter into Real Estate agreements for the installation of a variety of telecommunication facilities & projects.
  • Complete due diligence & property research including title & registrations searches, deed review, vetting of street, zoning & parcel maps, etc. for real estate acquisition of sites.
  • Negotiate telecommunication agreements (leases, licenses and/or easements etc.) with public and private property owners.
  • Coordinate and attend site visits to confirm candidate viability.
  • Represent Scott Telecom and their clients in community and/or stakeholder meetings.
  • Assist with the civil coordination for clients, including design engineers, construction managers and RF (Radio Frequency) engineers.
  • Prepare leasing request forms, review and audit executable leasing packages to ensure quality and accuracy of documentation meets internal and client specifications.
  • Produce and maintain accurate project updates, timelines, forecasts and reports to Project Managers as required and ensure client expectations are met.
  • Gather and organize knowledge of local Land Use, Development and Building permitting process.
  • Must be able to travel and have access to a reliable vehicle.
