Job summary

Tolko Industries Ltd. seeks a Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) Superintendent to lead the Kamloops LVL mill. The role focuses on safety, production, and people leadership in an evolving LVL facility in Kamloops, BC. Strong track record in engineered wood products and change leadership is ideal.

Responsibilities include building a high-performing team, budgeting, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met while driving Tolko’s values and continuous improvement initiatives.

Tolko’s newest facility is in the early stages of production of Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL). This is an exciting opportunity to continue to grow this team and expand the development of Tolko's newest Engineered Wood product.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.
• Technical experience manufacturing engineered wood products including experience with Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL), finger jointing, CLT, Glulam is a bonus.
• Proven team leader.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships.
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing change.
• Strong planning, goal setting and project management skills.
