Job summary

Tolko Industries Ltd. is seeking a PlanerSupervisor for our Lakeview Division near Williams Lake, BC. The role focuses on leading a planer team to meet production, quality, and safety objectives in a modern lumber mill that produces 230 million board feet yearly.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in lumber manufacturing with supervisory experience, strong planer operations knowledge, and a commitment to safety. Competitive salary and excellent benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in lumber manufacturing.
  • Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a sawmill, planer mill, or manufacturing operation.
  • Strong understanding of planer operations, lumber grading, quality standards, and production processes.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Post-secondary education in forestry, business, engineering, or related fields, an asset.
  • Previous experience leading a team is preferred.
  • A high degree of commitment to safety.
  • A mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to relate with people across all levels of the organization.

We’re looking for a PlanerSupervisor to join our redesigned, modern lumber mill located nearWilliams Lake, British Columbia.Our Lakeview Division safely and sustainably produces over 230 million board feet of lumber per year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a lumber manufacturing environment.
