Job summary

Broadstreet Properties is seeking a full-time Special Projects Labourer to support repair, renovation and site clean-up on multi-family residential properties. The role involves loading/unloading, moving materials, using hand and power tools, and performing various trades as needed.

Based out of Saskatoon, SK, the position requires two years of related labour experience, carpentry and painting skills, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Two years of related labour experience.
• Carpentry and painting experience.
• Concrete and asphalt repair experience related to curbs, sidewalks and parking lots.
• Able to operate hand and power tools.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and complete duties efficiently.
• Good communication and ability to follow instructions.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Team player with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Available to travel to various properties as required.

Job description

As the Special Projects Labourer, you will assist in repairing, renovating, and improving our multi-family residential buildings. You will also be involved in the cleaning and preparation of work-sites, cleaning up rubble and debris, and removal of waste materials. Your contributions to the team include:

• Loading and unloading vehicles with supplies, equipment and construction material
• Moving tools, equipment and construction material to and from work areas
• Operating hand and power tools
• Repair and renovation tasks in the areas of concrete forming, framing, finishing, insulation, installation of doors and windows, soffit, siding and other interior and exterior work as required
• Cleaning up rubble and debris to ensure a safe and well-maintained construction site
• Heavy focus on landscaping duties during July through October
• Performing other duties as required

What you need to be successful:

• Two years' related labour experience
• Carpentry and painting experience
• Concrete and asphalt repair experience related to curbs, sidewalks and parking lots
• Able to operate hand and power tools
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and complete assigned duties efficiently
• Good communication skills and ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Able to lift at least 50lbs
• Demonstrated ability to work with a team under minimal supervision
