Job summary

Broadstreet Properties is seeking a Special Projects Labourer to help repair, renovate and improve multi-family residential buildings from our Saskatoon, SK location. You will assist in site prep, clean up debris, and support landscaping tasks during peak months while working as part of our Special Projects team.

We value hands-on workers with carpentry/painting experience, tool proficiency, teamwork, and a valid driver’s license willing to travel between properties.

Qualifications

• Two years of related labour experience.
• Carpentry and painting experience.
• Concrete and asphalt repair experience (curbs, sidewalks, parking lots).
• Able to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to multi-task and complete duties efficiently.
• Good communication and ability to follow instructions.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Team oriented with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles with supplies, equipment and materials.
• Move tools and construction materials to and from work areas.
• Operate hand and power tools.
• Perform repair and renovation tasks (concrete forming, framing, finishing, insulation, doors/windows, siding).
• Clean rubble and debris to maintain a safe site.
• Landscaping duties focus July–October.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job description

Do you enjoy working with your hands, take pride in hard work, and are motivated by seeing the end product that you helped create? As the Special Projects Labourer, you will assist in repairing, renovating, and improving our multi-family residential buildings. You will also be involved in the cleaning and preparation of work-sites, cleaning up rubble and debris, and removal of waste materials. You could be our new full-time Labourer with our Special Projects team based out of Saskatoon, SK!

Your contributions to the team include:

• Loading and unloading vehicles with supplies, equipment and construction material
• Moving tools, equipment and construction material to and from work areas
• Operating hand and power tools
• Repair and renovation tasks in the areas of concrete forming, framing, finishing, insulation, installation of doors and windows, soffit, siding and other interior and exterior work as required
• Cleaning up rubble and debris to ensure a safe and well-maintained construction site
• Heavy focus on landscaping duties during July through October
• Performing other duties as required

What you need to be successful:

• Two years’ related labour experience
• Carpentry and painting experience

• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and complete assigned duties efficiently
• Good communication skills and ability to follow oral and written instructions

• Available to travel to various properties as required
