Broadstreet Properties Ltd. is hiring a Maintenance Technician for Birch Hills Landing in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. You’ll fix plumbing, heating, electrical issues and perform general maintenance to turn units into homes.

With 2+ years of related experience, completion of a trade cert, and a valid driver’s license, you’ll join a team that values quality workmanship. Wages start from $23.60 to $29.50 per hour, with benefits and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ maintenance experience.
• Trade certification or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of hand tools and repair equipment.
• Experience using email and tablets/work order apps.
• On-call availability on a rotational basis.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair basic to intermediate plumbing, heating and electrical problems.
• Repair windows, doors, switches, plugs, appliances, equipment, fixtures and tiling as needed.
• Paint, drywall patching, mudding, taping, etc.
• Maintain building exterior and basic grounds as required.
• Detect faulty operations, report deficiencies and coordinate fixes.

Your contributions to the team include:

• Diagnosing and repairing basic to intermediate plumbing, heating and electrical problems
• Performing repairs on windows, blinds, doors, switches, plugs, appliances, equipment, fixtures and carpet, vinyl and ceramic tile replacement
• Painting, drywall patching, mudding, taping, etc
• Maintaining building exterior including basic grounds maintenance as required
• Detecting faulty operations, defective materials and reporting deficiencies

What you need to be successful:

• 2+ years’ experience in a maintenance related role
• Completion of relevant trade, technical certification, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of hand tools and repair equipment
• Experience using computers, smartphones, and tablets; used for email, electronic work order applications, timesheets
• Availability to work on-call on rotational basis
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
