Job summary

Finning Canada is seeking a Labourer in Fort McKay, AB to support the field service team and shop operations. You will perform low-complexity tasks that contribute to workplace organization, safety, and process flow, with opportunities for CAT training and certifications.

Ideal candidates are grade 12 graduates who are mechanically inclined, hold a valid driver's license, and can lift up to 40 lbs. This role requires reliability, strong organization, and the ability to work under supervision in

Qualifications

• Self-starter who follows directions and works under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Move equipment in and out of the shop.

• Oil sampling, lube and oil changes.
• Washing and detailing of equipment.
• Assist field and shop mechanics as required.
• General clean up of shop, yard, field sites, parts and machines.

Job Description

• Moving equipment in and out of the shop
• Aid mechanics with the removal and installation of guards

• Other General Duties as required

Qualifications

• Completion of grade 12 and mechanically inclined.
• Valid Driver's License with successful recent driver abstract, due to safety requirements must be minimum 21 years of age.
• Physical requirement ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs.
• Self-starter able to follow directions, assist and work under the direction of a Field Heavy Duty Mechanic and possess the motivation necessary to contribute positively to a safe team environment.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Experience working within a heavy equipment maintenance environment, basic equipment knowledge, along with preventative maintenance experience would be considered assets.

Important Information

This position is based in Fort Mckay, AB on a 14x14 Shift. (Days and Nights Required) Hours and shift schedule may be subject to change to meet customer and/or Finning (Canada) requirements. Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement.
