Job summary

Finning Canada is hiring a Labourer in Fort McKay, AB to support the field service team. The role involves moving equipment, aiding mechanics, oil sampling and routine shop tasks to uphold safety and efficiency.

Requirements include Grade 12, a valid driver's license (minimum age 21), and physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Candidates should be self-motivated with good organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of grade 12 and mechanically inclined.
• Valid Driver's License with recent driving abstract; minimum 21 years old.
• Physical ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs.
• Self-starter who follows directions and supports Field HD Mechanic.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oil sampling, lubrication and oil changes.
• Washing and detailing of equipment.
• Assisting field and shop mechanics as required.
• General cleanup of shop, yard, field sites, parts and machines.

As a labourer, you will support efficient shop operations by performing low-complexity tasks contributing directly to workplace organization, safety, and process flow in alignment with Finning Opx standards. Job Description

Qualifications

• Completion of grade 12 and mechanically inclined
• Valid Driver's License with successful recent driver abstract, due to safety requirements must be minimum 21 years of age
• Physical requirement ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs.
• Self-starter able to follow directions, assist and work under the direction of a Field Heavy Duty Mechanic and possess the motivation necessary to contribute positively to a safe team environment
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work under minimal supervision
• Experience working within a heavy equipment maintenance environment, basic equipment knowledge, along with preventative maintenance experience would be considered assets

Important Information

This position is based in Fort Mckay, AB on a 14x14 Shift. (Days and Nights Required) Hours and shift schedule may be subject to change to meet customer and/or Finning (Canada) requirements. Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement
