Job summary

Bird Nason Contracting Group is seeking experienced Labourers to support construction on the La Crete Community Health Centre project. You will assist carpenters, support concrete formwork and site cleanup, while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

The role requires CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, and ESC Fall Protection certifications, a willingness to work 10 hours per day on a 10-on, 4-off rotation, and ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial construction experience.
• CSTS 2020 certification required.
• WHMIS 2015 certification required.
• ESC Fall Protection training required.

Responsibilities

• Assist carpenters and other trades with daily construction activities.
• Support concrete formwork, pours, stripping, material handling, site cleanup.
• Perform general labour duties related to foundations, structural concrete, framing, and building enclosure.
• Load, unload, organize, and distribute materials on site.
• Operate basic tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist with layout, measurements, and prep work as directed by supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
• Support site logistics, temporary protection, hoarding, and project needs.
• Identify and report safety concerns during daily safety meetings.

Position Details

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking experienced Labourers to support construction activities on the new La Crete Community Health Centre.

• Schedule Rotation: 10 on, 4 off (10 hour days)
• Benefits and RRSP Provided As Per Collective Agreement

What You Will Be Working On

As a Labourer, you will play a key role in the construction of a new healthcare facility that will serve the La Crete community for years to come. This commercial construction project requires hardworking, safety-focused individuals who take pride in quality workmanship and teamwork.

• Assisting carpenters and other trades with daily construction activities
• Supporting concrete formwork, pours, stripping, material handling, and site clean-up
• Performing general labour duties related to foundations, structural concrete, framing, and building enclosure activities
• Loading, unloading, organizing, and distributing materials throughout the job site
• Operating basic construction tools and equipment safely and effectively
• Assisting with layout, measurements, and preparation work as directed by supervisors
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
• Supporting project crews with temporary protection, hoarding, site logistics, and ongoing construction needs
• Identifying and reporting safety concerns while participating in daily safety meetings and hazard assessments
• Working collaboratively with multiple trades to help maintain project schedules and production targets

What We Are Looking For

• Previous commercial construction experience
• CSTS 2020
• WHMIS 2015
• ESC Fall Protection
• Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
• The ability to lift, carry and handle weight up to 50lbs
• Must be organized, self-driven, and have ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
