Job summary

Bird Nason Contracting Group is seeking a Craft Recruiter - Industrial West to support recruitment and onboarding of hourly craft employees across Western Canada. This role is ideal for someone starting or growing a career in recruitment, HR, or workforce planning.

The position involves posting jobs, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and maintaining candidate data in the ATS, with travel to recruitment events and project sites as needed. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• 0-2 years of recruitment, human resources, administration, customer service, or related experience.
• Strong interest in recruitment, talent acquisition, and the construction industry.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable learning new systems and technology.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Experience using social media platforms for networking and candidate engagement is considered an asset.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment process for hourly craft positions across Western Canada.
• Post jobs on internal and external job boards.

• Conduct reference checks and support pre-employment requirements.

• Assist with sourcing candidates through online job boards, social media, and referral programs.
• Track recruitment metrics and prepare basic recruitment reports.
• Support employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives.
• Participate in special projects and other recruitment-related activities.

What You Will Be Working On

• Support the recruitment process for hourly craft positions across Western Canada
• Post jobs on internal and external job boards
• Review resumes and conduct initial candidate screenings
• Schedule interviews and assist hiring managers throughout the hiring process

• Conduct reference checks and support pre-employment requirements
• Assist with onboarding and orientation activities
• Attend job fairs, industry events, school presentations, and community recruitment initiatives
• Build relationships with candidates and provide a positive candidate experience
