Labourer
Hourly Wage: $34.44
Location: Entwistle, AB

As a Labourer at Drax, you will support the efficient operation of our pellet production systems by performing a variety of construction, repair, installation, and maintenance activities. Your role is crucial in ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance while contributing to continuous improvement and quality control initiatives.

So, what will you be doing? The core responsibilities and duties include:

• Performing a variety of construction, repair, installation, and maintenance activities supporting Drax's pellet production systems.
• Operating a variety of equipment and tools related to maintenance and rail activities, as well as performing other related duties.
• Ensuring the highest level of safety standards, complying with all applicable government regulations and corporate policies.
• Performing cleaning tasks as scheduled or assigned by the Plant Manager or their designate.
• Assisting in the safe and efficient loading of rail cars.
• Assisting in loading pellets and completing necessary administrative tasks for shipping.
• Participating in continuous improvement and quality control initiatives.
• Reporting safety incidents or infractions.
• Assisting maintenance staff or completing basic maintenance tasks when the plant is down, under the direction of maintenance staff.
