As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will be a member of the interdisciplinary team where you are responsible for providing exemplary patient care by applying regional policies, procedures and work practices within the laboratory department. You will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing and dispatching of specimens, and performing ECGs. With a customer service focused approach, you build productive and respectful customer relations and take responsibility for customer satisfaction.

Taber Health Centre Laboratory is located within the Taber Health Centre and services this Southern Alberta City as well as its surrounding areas. The location is staffed with a strong team of laboratory professionals that offer strong, patient-focused service to their community. Taber Alberta is located approximately 50 kilometers east of Lethbridge and 260 kilometers southeast of Calgary. Taber is a beautiful town that is known as the Corn Capital of Canada due to the large amount of sunshine in the area. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.
