Job summary

Alberta Precision Labs (APL), a subsidiary of Alberta Health Services, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant I to support the North Hill Patient Service Centre in a fast-paced, public-facing environment.

You will perform venipuncture and ECGs on outpatients and community patients, handle specimen processing, testing, and reporting while adhering to safety and quality guidelines. This regular part-time role offers competitive benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
• Previous Phlebotomy experience and ECG Certification.
• Recent phlebotomy experience; at least 6 months within the last 2 years. Recent ECG experience; at least 6 months within the last 6 months. At least 6 months of experience in a Patient Service Centre.
