Job summary

The Saskatoon Friendship Inn is seeking an experienced line cook to support its high-energy kitchen operations. You will prepare and plate 500-700 hot meals daily for the vulnerable community, working with a team using new technology for cooking and retherming.

Shifts run 6:30am to 2:30pm, Saturday through Wednesday; prior restaurant or banquets/catering experience is required, and experience with combi ovens is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in restaurant or banquets/catering.
• Experience cooking 500-700 meals per day.
• Must be able to work 6:30am–2:30pm, Saturday to Wednesday.

The Saskatoon Friendship Inn is a high energy fast paced work environment.

We are looking for an experienced line cook capable of cooking and serving 500-700 hot meals per day with our team. Applicants must have prior experience in restaurant or banquets/catering. We have outfitted our kitchen with new technology which includes software-based cooking and retherming. Experience with combi ovens would be asset but is not a requirement. Applicant must be able to work 5-day shifts that cross into weekends. The work shift we provide is 6:30am to 2:30pm, Saturday to Wednesday.

The Friendship Inn is a large scale soup kitchen serving the vulnerable sector in the Riversdale area of Saskatoon. At present we provide 1500-2000 meals a day.
