Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Breakfast Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality breakfast meals in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional food safety, cleanliness, and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast items including eggs, omelets, pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage, hash browns, breakfast sandwiches, and other menu items.
• Set up and stock the breakfast station before each shift with all required ingredients and supplies.
• Ensure meals are prepared accurately, consistently, and served in a timely manner.
• Follow standardized recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout the shift.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health regulations.
• Properly label, rotate, and store food products to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages.
• Assist with food preparation and kitchen cleaning duties as required.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• Previous breakfast cooking or line cook experience preferred.
• Food Safe Certificate is an asset.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
