Job summary

The Saskatoon Friendship Inn is seeking an experienced line cook to join a high-energy, fast-paced kitchen. You will cook and serve 500-700 hot meals daily as part of our dedicated team in Saskatoon.

Applicants should have prior experience in restaurant or banquets/catering; combi ovens experience is a plus but not required. The role requires 5-day shifts that cross into weekends, with a 10:00am to 6:00pm schedule.

Job description

The Saskatoon Friendship Inn is a high energy fast paced work environment.

We are looking for an experienced line cook capable of cooking and serving 500-700 hot meals per day with our team. Applicants must have prior experience in restaurant or banquets/catering. We have outfitted our kitchen with new technology which includes software-based cooking and retherming. Experience with combi ovens would be asset but is not a requirement. Applicant must be able to work 5-day shifts that cross into weekends. This position's shift is 10:00am to 6:00pm, Tuesday to Thursday.

The Friendship Inn is a large scale soup kitchen serving the vulnerable sector in the Riversdale area of Saskatoon. At present we provide 1500-2000 meals a day.
