Job summary

Canad Inns is seeking a proactive line cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare plates according to guest desires and Canad Inns standards, maintain high quality, and communicate essential information to the culinary staff.

The ideal candidate has previous line cooking experience, is available for 2pm–1am shifts including weekends and holidays, and holds or is willing to obtain a food safety certification. Able to remain calm in high-pressure situations and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Prior line cooking experience required.
• Must be able to work 2pm–1am, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plates per Canad Inns standards and guest requests.
• Maintain accuracy, cleanliness, and high quality in work area.
• Communicate relevant information to culinary staff.
• Assist Kitchen Stewards and Prep Cook as needed.
• Continuously seek improvements to work faster and better.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare plates according to guest desires and Canad Inns standards;
• Ensure that work is accurate, thorough, and to the highest standards.
• Communicate all pertinent information to Culinary staff;
• Clean and maintain the work area throughout the shift;
• Assist the Kitchen Stewards, Buffet Attendant/Prep Cook, Food Services Receiver as necessary;
• Constantly assess and adapt current practices to perform a task better, faster, or more efficiently.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous line cooking experience.
• Must be available to work the shift of 2pm - 1am evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have or be willing to obtain food safe certification.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Good communication and listening skills.
