Job summary

The HUB Restaurant and Lounge at the Holiday Inn Saskatoon Downtown invites applications for a Cook to support restaurant, banquet and catering menus.

Ideal candidates will hold a current Food Safe Certificate, a valid Class 5 driver’s license and be able to communicate in English. Prior cooking experience is preferred. We offer competitive wages, indoor parking, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

  • Must maintain a current Food Safe Certificate.
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Must be able to communicate in the English language.
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instruction.
  • 1-year experience as a cook in the Food Service Industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all food items for restaurant, banquet and/or catering menus according to hotel recipes and standards.
  • Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions in daily shift briefings.
  • Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage.
  • Ensure storeroom requisitions are accurate.
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment.
  • Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Available evenings, week days and weekend.
