Job summary

COMPASS GROUP CANADA is seeking a Kitchen General Help to support daily operations in food preparation, serving meals, cleaning, and dishwashing. The role requires food handling, safety discipline, and the ability to work across workstations including meal distribution and packing.

Ideal candidates will hold a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent, strong time management, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

• Strong time management and organizational skills to manage workload.
• Good command of English language, both verbal and written.

• Physical ability to carry out duties; minor heavy lifting up to 40 lb.

Responsibilities

• Dispense food for next day of production and plate individual meals.
• Conduct work in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Dishwashing and other tasks as required.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilize approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality and temperatures.
• Assure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Ability to work at multiple workstations including meal distribution area.
• Willing to learn skid wrapping of finished product.
• Food preparation and cooking as needed.

• Dishwashing and other tasks as required.

• Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Ability to work in various workstations including meal distribution area (packaging).
• Willing to learn skid wrapping of finished product.
• Food preparation and cooking as needed.

Qualifications:

• Rotation: 20 Days On/10 Days Off
