Job summary

Compass Group Canada is hiring a General Helper to support meal preparation, presentation and service. You will dispense food for production, maintain safety standards and ensure proper food handling.

You’ll work across stations, help with packaging, and learn skid wrapping of finished products. Requirements include a valid Food Handler Certificate, strong time management, the ability to work independently or in a team, and solid English communication.

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to manage workload.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Good command of English language, both verbal and written.
• Previous food service experience in healthcare, hotel, restaurant, or fast food is considered an asset.
• Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting up to 40 lb.

The hourly wage rate for this position is $20.42 Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Job Summary

• Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Ability to work in various workstations including meal distribution area (packaging).
• Willing to learn skid wrapping of finished product.
• Food preparation and cooking as needed
