Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a General Helper in Ontario to assist with meal preparation, plating, and service. You will help ensure food quality, presentation, and safety throughout production and service.

The role involves working in a fast-paced environment with adherence to sanitation and safety standards, including operating at various workstations and assisting with basic food preparation as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and production standards for quality and portions.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Work at multiple workstations including meal distribution/packaging.
• Learn skid wrapping of finished product.
• Assist with basic food preparation and cooking as needed.

Job Summary:

The General Helper will be responsible for preparing, presenting and serving meals, ensuring the quality of the food and overall presentation.

The hourly wage for this role is $17.75. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. • Dispense food for next day of production and plate individual meals.
• Conduct work in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Ability to work in various workstations including meal distribution area (packaging).
• Willing to learn skid wrapping of finished product.
• Food preparation and cooking as needed
