Job summary

The Home Depot Canada is seeking Sales Associates who provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. You will focus on department and product knowledge and help customers understand product features to support complete projects.

Responsibilities include greeting, engaging, and thanking customers; guiding them to the right merchandise; asking open questions about projects; and promoting services such as Tool Rental, Pro Desk and Pro

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 2 years Retail or Trade experience an asset.
• Ability to greet, engage and thank customers.

Responsibilities

• Following Home Depot’s GET Model of customer service including Greeting, Engaging, and Thanking the customer.
• Actively seek customers throughout the store and escort customers to appropriate merchandise, regardless of department
• Ask open ended questions about the customer’s projects in order to determine their needs and level of expertise
• Promote services offered such as Special Services, Tool Rental, Pro Desk, Pro Services, etc. and how to recommend them
• Educate customers about available options and how to complete their project.
