• Evidence-based assessment and treatment services for clients who have sustained a variety of injuries and conditions, usually with a goal of assisting them to return to work
• Implement, monitor and progress exercise and work simulation programs
• Management of resources, scheduling clients, tracking attendance, ensuring report timeliness and communicating with various stakeholders (insurance company, employer, physician, etc) in conjunction with the team Physiotherapist
• Develop structured Gradual Return to Work (GRTW) plans
• Monitor the GRTW plan to facilitate a successful outcome
• Work with clients referred by ICBC
• Provide personal training and individualized kinesiology services
• Mentoring and training will be provided. The Kinesiologist will work, at times, independently and at other times will work on a team that includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Counselors, and Administrative Staff. POSITION: REGISTERED KINESIOLOGIST

LOCATION: Nordel

STATUS: CONTRACTOR

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge and/or experience in evidence based orthopaedic, concussion, neurological or mental health practice with a strong emphasis on active rehabilitation
• Knowledge of psycho-social aspects of disability
  
  

Education:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics or equivalent degree
  
  

Memberships & Associations:

• Registration with BCAK, required
