iScope Concussion and Pain Clinic is a leading interdisciplinary clinic specializing in the treatment of concussions, chronic pain, and motor vehicle accidents (MVAs). Our interdisciplinary team is dedicated to providing comprehensive care that promotes recovery, enhances mobility, and improves quality of life for our patients.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Kinesiologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rehabilitation and a passion for helping patients recover from concussions and MVA-related injuries. The Kinesiologist will work closely with Physiotherapists who provide vestibular and MSK treatments, as well as other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote optimal recovery and physical function.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology (BKin)
  • Registered in Good Standing with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK)
  • Valid CPR C & Standard First Aid
  • Criminal Records Check (required for full registration with BCAK)
  • At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with concussion management and MVA rehabilitation
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy, biomechanics, and exercise physiology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical abilities, limitations, and needs related to concussions and MVAs
  • Collaborate with insurance companies (ICBC, Long-term Disability, Extended Health) and WorkSafe BC
  • Develop and implement personalized exercise programs and rehabilitation plans tailored to each patient's specific condition and goals
  • Educate patients about injury management, rehabilitation techniques, and prevention strategies
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and physicians, to provide comprehensive care
  • Document patient progress and treatment interventions accurately and promptly
  • Stay current with the latest research and best practices in kinesiology, concussion management, and MVA rehabilitation
