Job summary

Upper Canada District School Board is accepting applications for the position of Registered Early Childhood Educator. You will work under the Principal's direction, planning and implementing learning experiences for kindergarten students in collaboration with the teaching team.

Qualifications include an ECE degree or diploma and registration in good standing with the College of ECE, plus 2–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• University degree in early child development or a 2-year post-secondary diploma in Early Childhood Education.
• Registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
• Minimum of 2-3 years recent experience in related child care with knowledge of child development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and deliver learning experiences for kindergarten students.
• Supervise and ensure care and safety of students in the absence of the teacher.
• Engage with families to provide guidance and feedback and support inclusive practices.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with parents/guardians and staff.
• Contribute to a safe, healthy classroom environment and adapt to changing needs.
