Job summary

Value Buds Stony Plain East is hiring a Keyholder / Shift Lead to help deliver an inviting in-store experience. You’ll guide customers, offer cannabis education, and support daily operations from merchandising to POS transactions, while ensuring compliance with regulations.

The role requires retail or hospitality experience, strong communication, and a cannabis certification. You’ll join a team focused on growth, competitive wages, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience
• Cannabis certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell)
• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+)
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check

What You’ll Do

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification

About You

• Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell)
• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check
