Job summary

The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking a temporary Christmas Kettle Campaign worker. You will support kettle operations, coordinate staff and volunteers, and ensure secure handling of donations in mall environments.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in customer service, basic office skills (Word/Excel), and a valid Ontario driver’s license. The role requires flexibility, travel within local sites, and strong interpersonal abilities.

Qualifications

• Some high school coursework, completion of high school is an asset.
• A minimum of one year of related experience or working in customer service.
• Money handling experience is an asset.
• Experience in office administration.
• Experience with general office equipment and must have strong skills and experience using Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Attend a day of training and orientation for The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign.
• Support in getting kettles to zone locations prior to staff or volunteers' arrival.
• Ensure all kettle donations are delivered to secure location at shift completion.
• Record timesheets and mileage reports; communicate issues to supervisor.
• Foster positive relationships with kettle sites and volunteers; coordinate schedules.
