Job summary

The Salvation Army in Winnipeg invites applications for the Kettle Coordinator II, a short-term contract managing multiple Christmas Kettle locations across malls and stores. You will supervise volunteers, recruit new helpers, and ensure secure handling of donations while coordinating with the campaign team.

Ideal candidates have a year of customer service experience, a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift 9–12 kg, and strong communication skills; high school completion is preferred.

Qualifications

• Some high school coursework; completion of high school is an asset.
• One year of related experience or working in customer service.
• Money handling experience is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Attend a day of training or orientation on The Salvation Army and the Christmas Kettle Campaign.
• Provide support in getting Kettles to zone locations prior to volunteer arrival at Campaign onset.
• Ensure all Kettle donations are delivered to secure location at shift completion.
• Supervise, support and assign volunteers throughout the Campaign.
• Participate in the recruitment of new volunteers.
• Keep timesheets and mileage reports accurately and timely.
• Respond to questions from potential donors regarding SA ministries and programs.
• Remain at the Kettle for the full shift and ensure security of donations.
