Junior / Intermediate Accountant

Location: North Vancouver, BC
Salary: $50,000 – $70,000 (depending on experience)
Type: Full-time, Onsite (Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm)

Our client, a well-established and growing construction firm based in North Vancouver, is seeking a Junior or Intermediate Accountant to join their close-knit team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in accounting and high attention to detail to step into a long-term role within a collaborative, social, and professional environment.

The successful candidate will report to the Financial Controller and work closely with a team that values accuracy, initiative, and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform trust account and general ledger reconciliations
• Manage payroll processes, salary payments, and remittances
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Process invoices and general notarization documentation
• Support project accounting, audits, budgeting, and other financial functions as needed

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
• Background in legal, construction, or public practice environments is a strong asset
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Office (especially Excel)
• Outstanding attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Professional, dependable, and strong communication skills
