Job Description :

As a bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and preparing financial reports for a variety of different clients. You will work closely with our accounting team to ensure the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and manage financial reports and statements.
• Assist with payroll processing.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to support year-end financial preparation.
• Complete and file HST, EHT and WSIB returns, along with other regulatory compliance requirements.
• Prepare Year End Package for Tax Accountants

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software, specifically QuickBooks Online, Wagepoint, Dext, Payedge
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, or an equivalent qualification.
